“No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light. For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.” Luke 8 : 16 – 17

Jesus is talking about the parable of the revealed light, i.e the responsibility of those who receive the Word. Remember there is the false light and the true light, it is very important that you and I know the difference between the FALSE WORD of GOD versus the TRUE WORD OF GOD. We want the TRUE WORD OF GOD that is “GOD BREATHED” 2 TiM 3 : 16 -17 “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

It clearly is the responsibility for those who receive the word  to expose and publish the truth – that is, the word of God. Truth by it’s very nature is meant to be revealed and so GOD

God promises that it will be as He says, “nothing is secret that will not be revealed” and that’s includes false doctrine, false churches and false teachers.

If you have the truth of God, you have a solemn responsibility to spread that truth in whatever way God gives you opportunity, even as someone who has the cure for a life-threatening disease has the moral responsibility to share that cure. God didn’t light your lamp so that it would be hidden. He lit your Spirit with His WORD so that HE HIMSELF will be UNCOVERED and MANIFESTED in your life. We have a tendency to be selfish in this area, all the spiritual sweetness of HIS WORD that we receive sometimes propels us to keep this concealed instead of displaying HIS WORD to the world

Jeremiah 20:9 But if I say, “I will not mention his word or speak anymore in his name,” his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot”.

We are challenged by YESHUA to :

  1. Either spread the word itself,
  2. Or spread the influence of God’s word by bringing others to a place where they will hear it.

It’s best to do both.

“How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” Psalms 119 : 103

Blessed week ahead to all! Share His WORD with someone this week!
